Interactive immersive
This immersive installation invites you to experience the natural world of K'gari (Fraser Island) through sound and imagery. As you enter the space, you are greeted by recordings from within a paperbark tree on K'gari, capturing the subtle sounds of the environment. The headphones provide a deeper auditory journey, featuring binaural recordings from various ecosystems across the island, allowing you to experience these soundscapes as if you were there. The accompanying video projections showcase the landscapes where these sounds were captured, creating a multi-sensory connection to K'gari's unique and fragile ecosystems.

This work seeks to foster a deeper appreciation for the beauty and complexity of these natural spaces, encouraging a renewed sense of connection and stewardship for the environment.
